YES
The great appeal to true entrepreneurs is in the creation of something
new, especially if you have a good idea, potential customers,
a knowledge of marketing, finance, and a fierce dedication to
succeed.

NO
The Small Business Administration reports that
75 percent of new small businesses fail in a year, and a fourth
of the first-year
survivors will fail in the second year. The problem is money – most
new businesses are privately financed and often are undercapitalized.
For others, the problem is structure … there is a lack
of structure (good for some, bad for others), and you have to
learn to adjust to a need for greater personal drive and motivation
to succeed. It’s not unusual for a new business owner to
work at least 60 hours, and possibly as many as 80 hours, a week,
seven days a week for the first year or so. |
