Should I tell potential employers I failed my first bar exam but am waiting the results of the next?

YES
Don’t even think about lying during the recruiting process. You’re bound to be found out. Your interviewer will see that you don’t have a bar admission on your resume, and will ask where and when you were admitted. You need to be honest … not defensive. Just let the interviewer know that you have taken the bar again and will have your results shortly. Even if you are not asked during the interview whether you are admitted, the truth will emerge when you begin working at the firm. It will only be a matter of time before the administration or recruiting department checks on your law school degree and bar admission.
